Work Name:Boy Scout Pen - Bolt Action with Red-White-Blue
Work Experience:
I learned to turn in 2013 and since then I\'ve been experimenting with new techniques, new materials, various kits etc. In this example, I learned how to segment and build this blank.
Work Description:
Starting with a red, white & blue acrylic blank, I cut slices on an angle (not quite 45-deg). I then roughed up both sides of each piece and CA glued them into a blank. Once dry, I prepped the blank and turned it for this pen. The pen hardware is a gold, bolt-action pen. Upon request from a young man who recently earned his Eagle scout.
